Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 which truly is an epitome of excellence in mobile technology was rumoured to hit the UK markets in late October. Hang on according to the official sony ericsson webpage the first Windows Mobile smartphone will make you wait for a little longer time indeed!
The scuttlebutt at IFA is that the XPERIA X1 has been delayed to the end of the year, and a Sony representative confirmed that it’s looking like December 2008 or may be January 2009. Windows Mobile 6.1 software implementation making the display aspect difficult to settle seems to be the most effective reason as of now for the delay of its launch.
Well the delay certainly will be a bit annoying for all those who are eagerly awaiting this wonderful Windows Mobile 6.1 running, dual touch and QWERTY sliding, smartphone viz Xperia X1. But as they say: “All excellent things do not come easy”.
